By now you are probably sick of all the posts about Kai Deansgate. I would be too if I hadn’t had the pleasure of visiting myself.
What can I say, the venue itself is modern and very ‘instagrammable’. It’s refreshing to see a Turkish restaurant dare to be different. We went for lunch and didn’t mess about after a pleasant spread of cold mezze plates we went straight for the main course.
I went for the mixed grill for one. Having had a good few mixed grills in my time, I was playing it somewhat safe. I wasn’t disappointed with my choice. All the meat was tender and seasoned well. It is up there with one of the best-mixed grills I have had! If you like spicy food, then I would recommend you ask the chef to increase the heat for you!
My friend went for the T-Bone steak. I can only tell you what he told me, but from his face, I could say that this was unreal. I asked him to give me a review of it, and he simply said: ‘It was the best steak I have ever had.’
Kai is definitely one to check out, and I will be returning soon to try more of the menu!

Overall Kai Deansgate is a great restaurant, and I would definitely recommend you visit at least once; however, there are better Turkish Restaurants in the City.
